Leftover Life is designed with privacy as a core principle.

All data you create in the app is stored locally on your device and, if enabled, within your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on our servers.

Leftover Life does not collect or store your personal data.

• No accounts required
• No personal information collected
• No data transmitted to our servers
• No third-party tracking or analytics

Your data remains fully under your control at all times.

The app stores the following information locally to provide its functionality:

• Food item records — container names, ingredients, expiration dates, and notes
• Photos — optional images attached to food items
• QR code identifiers — codes linked to your physical container labels
• Usage data — patterns used to generate insights and waste tracking (processed on-device only)
• Notification settings — reminder preferences and alert timing
• App configuration — zones, layout preferences, and display settings

This data is never transmitted outside your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit framework.

• Data is stored in your private iCloud container
• Data is not accessible to Leftover Life
• Apple manages this data under its own privacy policies

You can enable or disable iCloud sync at any time in the app’s settings.

Leftover Life may request access to your camera and photo library to:

• Scan QR codes on your containers
• Capture or attach photos to food items

All images remain on your device or in your iCloud account (if enabled).
We do not access, upload, or store your photos externally.

The app may send local notifications to remind you about food expiration.

• Notifications are generated entirely on your device
• No notification data is sent to external servers
• No third-party notification services are used

If you upgrade to Leftover Life Pro:

• Payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store
• We do not receive or store payment information

Apple’s policies govern all transaction data.

Leftover Life does not collect or track:

• Names, emails, or account information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or usage telemetry
• Crash reports sent to our servers
• Any data for advertising or marketing

Leftover Life does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

The only external service used is Apple iCloud—and only if you enable it.

Leftover Life does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Because no personal data is collected and no accounts are required, the app is safe for general use.

You are in full control of your data.

• To delete app data: Simply delete the app from your device
• To remove iCloud data:
  Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If changes are made, the “Last Updated” date will be revised.
We will not introduce changes that reduce your privacy without notice.
